P20 die steel
P20 die steel has been pre-hardened to 285-330HB (30-36HRC), which is in the same state as Sweden 618 and Germany GS-2311. It can be directly used for mold processing and has good dimensional stability. Only pre-hardened steel can meet the requirements. For general purpose requirements, the mold life can reach 50W mold times.
In order to increase the mold life to more than 800,000 mold times, the hardening method of quenching and low temperature tempering can be implemented on the pre-hardened steel. When quenching, preheat at 500-600°C for 2-4 hours, then keep it at 850-880°C for a certain period of time (at least 2 hours), and cool it in oil to 50-100°C and air cooling. The hardness can reach 50 after quenching. -52HRC, 200℃ low temperature tempering treatment should be carried out immediately to prevent cracking. After tempering, the hardness can be maintained above 48HRC
Nitriding treatment can obtain high-hardness surface layer structure. After nitriding, the surface layer hardness can reach 650-700HV (57-60HRC). The mold life can reach more than 1 million times. The nitriding layer has the characteristics of compact structure, smoothness, and mold release. The corrosion resistance of humid air and lye is improved.

Product design inspection:
Regardless of the product design provided by TPV Mould or the customer, we always carry out a comprehensive analysis and inspection, such as the feasibility of the molding process, the feasibility of the mold structure and movement, and the matching of all relevant plastic components. It can avoid mold modification, scrapping caused by product design errors and other unnecessary mold repair work. We believe that we spend more than 10 minutes on design, so it may reduce production time by one month.
Mold design inspection:
Through precise analysis, foreseeable mold design rationality analysis, best processing analysis and mold structure application, it can provide the most professional solutions and provide the most suitable mold performance and technical specifications according to customer requirements.
The inspection covers many aspects such as mold strength, mold flow analysis, mold demolding, cooling system, rationality of the guiding system, application of mold specifications, selection of customer machines, and application of special requirements. It should be inspected according to Fow mold design standards.
Raw material purchase inspection:
Spare parts have strict inspection procedures and time control, standardization of parts, dimensional accuracy, hardness of mold materials and detection of material defects.
Processing quality control:
Precisely control the size, and carry out self-inspection of each mold component according to the requirements of drawing size and tolerance limit control. Only after passing the inspection can the spare parts be sent to the next work step. The previous error workpiece is not allowed to flow into the subsequent processing steps. For CNC milling, the program needs to be strictly reviewed before machining. After processing, we will check and control the accuracy through 3D coordinate measurement. We take a variety of measures: professional mold technical training and machine maintenance; self-inspection of mold workpieces and acceptance inspection of quality department; reasonable shift system and tooling control system.
Mold design inspection:
Comprehensive inspection of the mold to ensure structural consistency and standardization of spare parts. Project managers and quality control personnel should participate in mold inspections in accordance with company standards and ensure product quality. If errors are found, they can be corrected in time. It can also prevent errors. In addition, we will also conduct independent standardized tests on the mold cooling system, mold hydraulic oil channel system and hot runner system at the same time.
Acceptance inspection of sample size and mold size:
The quality inspection department shall conduct product inspection and submit a test report 24 hours after the mold test. The report should include a comprehensive test and analysis of product size, appearance, injection technology and physical parameters. We use different inspection standards and tools for different products. In our laboratory, we have carried out different tests on high-pressure injection, high-speed injection, long-term automatic operation test, etc. The QC department put forward suggestions for improvement and improvement for substandard products. We have accumulated a wealth of experience, suitable for mold production, and provide more and more customers with good solutions.
